“The cancer never scared me. It wasn’t going to define me or rule my life,” said Liz Rusnak Arizmendi, who is being honored at the Cancer Support Community’s 25th annual Angel Gala on Saturday, April 8. “My nephew even told me ‘I feel sorry for the cancer,’ because if anybody was going to beat this, I was.”
