More than 150 mothers of alumni and current moms gathered at Maranatha High School for the annual Mothers of Maranatha Dinner. This year’s travel theme featured a diverse array of cultural appetizers, dishes and desserts as well as a message about the journey of prayer from Rocio Watkins, Maranatha’s dean of academics. Watkins told about her upbringing as a missionary kid, which taught her how to pray, and to have courage and determination. MHS Missions coordinator Cleonie Harrison spoke about the purpose of missions at the school, the upcoming mission trips for this year, and how people can join together by praying for what is to come. It was a beautiful occasion for Maranatha moms as they gathered for a communal and relaxing evening.
