More than 200 parents, grandparents, alumnae, faculty and staff, and friends of Westridge School recently gathered at the Athenaeum for the school’s annual donor recognition event, The Leadership & Loyalty Reception. Board Chair Francis Park, Head of School Elizabeth McGregor and ASB President Ashley Wei thanked guests for their generous contributions to Westridge.
“Your gifts ensure that we will be here for generations to come as a learning community that attracts and retains the best teachers and invests in program design and research that best meets the needs of girls, and they ensure that a Westridge education is available for students who represent diversity of thought, ethnicity, and social-economic backgrounds,” said head of school Elizabeth J. McGregor.
Awards for alumnae class giving included the Elizabeth Edmundson Herrick Bowl for highest participation in Annual Fund giving, which went to the class of 1947, thanks to reunion organizer Priscilla Dunn Flynn, and the Class of 1953, led by class representatives Gwen Garland Babcock and Cynthia Crawford Berne. The Nancy H. Owen Trophy for the class contributing the largest dollar amount was presented to the class of 1947.
