Benefit Chair Joan Feser enjoys the festivities with her children John, Juliana, and Michael (pictured clockwise), at last year’s Race Day. This year, the event will be held Saturday, Feb. 24.

Villa Esperanza Guild will hold its 20th annual “A Day of Thoroughbred Racing” on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 11:30 a.m. at the Santa Anita Racetrack’s Club House Terrace. Guests will enjoy lunch, raffle and prize drawings in addition to a day of racing.
The guild, which is celebrating its 50th year, supports residential and independent living programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. Chairing this year’s event is Joan Feser, a former special education teacher and mother of three adult clients who participate in Villa’s programs.
Tickets to the event are $130 each and include admission to the park, an official program, lunch and seating at a table for four. Tickets and event sponsorship opportunities are available online at VillaEsperanzaServices.org or by calling (626) 449-2919, ext.162.
