LCHS Hosts Journalism Forum March 13

The staff of the La Cañada High School student newspaper is hosting a forum about the current state of journalism from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, at the school auditorium. The event is open to the public.
Topics to be discussed include ethics in journalism, the challenges of being a journalist in today’s environment, how journalism methods are changing to meet new technology and advice for future journalists.
Panelists are expected to include Scott Kraft, deputy managing editor at the L.A. Times; Chris Erskine, “Middle Ages” columnist for the L.A. Times; Dr. Elizabeth Smith, a Pepperdine journalism professor; and Mirjam Swanson, deputy editor at Outlook Newspapers.
