Leadership Pasadena is delighted to announce a partnership with Rusnak Auto Group to host an exciting, one-of-a-kind “tablescape” design competition, called “The Art of Conversation,” at the Hotel Constance in Pasadena on June 2 at 7 p.m.
Having a seat at the table amid robust conversations and debates has been the overarching theme of Leadership Pasadena for the last 18 years. It was only fitting, then, that it jumped at the chance to pursue local Realtor, antique shop owner and fundraiser Anthony Guthmiller’s idea for the tablescape design competition.
Leadership Pasadena and the Rusnak Auto Group will together headline a group of sponsors including the Hotel Constance Pasadena, Wells Fargo, Jacob Maarse Floral Design, Maude Woods, the Content Lab Creative Marketing, Realtor Barbara Richard King, Hahn and Hahn LLP, Plan Ahead Events, Taylor Insurance and Financial Services, Haydel Biel and Associates, and LionMark AVL Entertainment to bring this never-been-done-before event to Pasadena.
Table designs will be judged by attendees and the winning designer will receive a prize valued at $2,000.
“I’m very excited to be part of the first annual ‘Art of conversation.’ The art of conversation means putting down your phone to be present in society,” said Liz Rusnak Arizmendi of the Rusnak Auto Group.
Anthony Guthmiller, artistic director for the competition, said: “I am thrilled to be working on another exciting gala event with Liz Rusnak, and believe this event is the perfect conversation starter among the local creative community.”
Leadership Pasadena Executive Director Cynthia Bengtson agreed, saying that guests will have the opportunity to celebrate the powerful art of conversation while immersed in a dynamic collaboration of artists, leaders and communicators, coming together to support community leadership.
“We are honored to have the tremendous support of local businesses and we are especially grateful to Liz Rusnak’s assistance for our unique event. Think elegant Rose Parade on banquet tables! Or Pinterest in Person! We are designing this evening to capture the imaginations, hearts and minds of our community in an innovative experience that we want to become an anticipated annual event,” she said.
