“We miss our students” banner hangs at La Cañada High School.

The La Cañada High School 9-12 PTSA is excited to welcome back families, students, teachers and staff to the 2020-21 school year. The first day of distance learning will be Monday, Aug. 17.
“Although school will look and feel quite different in the coming weeks, PTSA looks forward to continuing to support and strengthen the LCHS community despite the unique situation we all find ourselves in,” incoming PTSA President Kelly Davis said.
With a new year comes the Spartan order form, where parents are encouraged to purchase their PTSA membership, directory and spirit wear, sponsor Home Tour, donate and volunteer. Visit to show support.

“PTSA does not work without parent and student involvement to deliver valued LCHS programs and services like the Wellness Center, technology needs, IRC resources and academic enrichment, along with programs such as Red Ribbon Week, Reflections Art Contest, science fairs, Mental Health Month and much more,” reminded Davis.
PTSA has several upcoming Zoom opportunities to connect with other parents, ask questions and hear the latest updates from Principal Jim Cartnal, district representatives and staff.
• 9th-Grade Mandatory Student Orientation — Friday, Aug. 14, 2-3 p.m.
• New Family Orientation — Friday, Aug. 14, 4-5 p.m.
• Monthly PTSA Meeting — Thursday, Aug. 20, 9-10 a.m.
• 9th-Grade Family Coffee With the Principal — Friday, Aug. 21, 9-10 a.m.
• Monthly PTSA Meeting — Thursday, Sept. 17, 9-10 a.m.
“A new school year always brings much hope and anticipation. Has that ever been more true?” asked Davis. “We warmly welcome the class of 2024, and all new and returning families. I have no doubt that we will rally as a community to make this year a success and get through it together.”
