Methodist Church Shares Message of Love This Sunday

Pastor Karin Ellis of La Cañada United Methodist Church will preach about abundant love this Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
Using the story in John (2:1-11) of Jesus turning water in to wine at a wedding, she will talk about God’s abundant love as seen in our everyday living and how people can share this love with others. Ellis will also honor Martin Luther King Jr. in part of the service.

Pastor Preaches on Wise Men’s Visit to Baby Jesus

Pastor Karin Ellis of La Cañada United Methodist Church tells the story of the Wise Men visiting baby Jesus and his parents on Epiphany Sunday.
Using Matthew 2:1-12, she discusses the generosity of the Wise Men and shares ideas of how we might be generous toward one another as we begin the New Year. Ellis’ message also looks at what it means to make a promise to God and to one another in terms of living in God’s ways of love, grace, and hope.

Methodist Church to Hold Advent Mass, Game Night

On this third Sunday of Advent, Pastor Karin Ellis of La Cañada United Methodist Church will give a sermon at 10:30 a.m. about the story of Mary from Luke 1:26-38.
Ellis will discuss Mary’s bravery in saying yes to God when she learns from the angel that she will have a baby. LCUMC continues to explore how we might say yes to God in our lives.

Methodist Church to Preach Message of Christ’s Love

Pastor Karin Ellis will give a sermon at Methodist Church this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. about how the love of Christ provokes people to care for one another, meet together and perform acts of kindness and mercy (Hebrews 10:19-25).

LCUMC’s services include singing and reciting prayers. Face masks are required for worship.

Methodist Church Observes Laity Sunday

La Cañada United Methodist Church celebrates Laity Sunday with messages from Bob Kemmerer and Doug Gulick this Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
Reflecting on Acts 2:43-47, the church community will discuss its hopes for the future of LCUMC. Other lay people will help lead the worship.
