Big things are coming to MonteCedro senior living. And by “big,” I mean a significant expansion of exquisitely designed living and gathering spaces that will further establish MonteCedro as one of Southern California’s premier senior communities.

As executive director of MonteCedro, I am especially excited. This expansion means new and current residents will have the best of the best in terms of facilities, amenities and aesthetics.

The expansion of MonteCedro is designed to complement the existing MonteCedro campus, enhance residents’ active lifestyles, and provide residents with even more ways to socialize, exercise and live the Creative Living lifestyle.

The new construction will feature four three-story Modern California Mission-style villas, for a total of 40 spacious apartments ranging from one-bedroom residences to 2,450-square-foot penthouses. Prospective residents can choose from 18 floor plans and a wide range of interior finishes, so each apartment will be unique.

“We’ve devised a multitude of different floor plans, features and ways for residents to upgrade and personalize their residence,” said Sharon Pewtress, vice president of strategic growth and development. “The apartments look and feel like high-end condos, while being equipped to serve retirement living and all that it entails.”

Another exciting feature of the MonteCedro expansion will be the Plaza, a multipurpose terrace and green space nestled between two of the new villas. With a stage, fireplace, conversation areas and barbecues, this space will be the perfect setting for a wide range of events, including theatrical performances, musical events and semi-private parties.

“We’ve added details that will enhance the entire MonteCedro campus, new and existing, and encourage residents to not just love where they live but also socialize in community spaces,” Weidert said. “The Plaza will undoubtedly be an exciting hub of activity.”

Other great new features include a dog park, fire pits, walking trails, secured underground garage and gardens for residents who want to show off their green thumbs. A new restaurant with outdoor patio brings the number of restaurants at MonteCedro to four, each with its own unique menu and ambiance.

One aspect of MonteCedro that remains the same, as with all the ECS communities, is our “life plan” approach. That means, as residents’ healthcare needs change, we bring their care to them so they can remain in their homes.

“It’s like an all-inclusive resort where there’s a huge range of social, wellness, and outdoor recreational things to do,” Weidert said. “Plus, there’s great food too, and healthcare if you need it.”

Construction of the MonteCedro expansion begins in Fall of 2023 and will be ready in Summer of 2025. Dreaming of living at MonteCedro? Let’s get in touch: (626) 213-2066
