Pasadena Presbyterian Church to Hold Good Friday Concert

The 21st annual Good Friday Devotional Concert, which will take place on Friday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, features Johannes Brahms’ choral masterpieces “Ein Deutsches Requiem” and “Geistliches Lied.”
This performance of the Requiem marks the 150th anniversary of its Good Friday 1868 premiere with six movements; Brahms later added another movement to complete the work. Presented by PPC’s Friends of Music, the concert features the church’s Kirk Choir with community singers, the Friends of Music Orchestra, soprano Judith Siirila Paskowitz and baritone Michael Daniels and conductor Timothy Howard.
Friends of Music at PPC presents an annual season of evening programs; the weekly Music at Noon series features 30-minute concerts every Wednesday at 12:10 p.m. All events are free to the public. For more information, visit ppcmusic.org.
