Elise and Rick Wetzel, Planned Parenthood Advocates Pasadena Board Chair Dawn Fanning Moore, event chair Jennifer Thibault, and former board chair Kristin Maschka are supporting the organization’s fundraiser tonight.

Planned Parenthood Advocates Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley will host its flagship fundraiser, “One Night Stand,” as a virtual house party to raise funds for advocacy and organizing that protects the essential health care of Planned Parenthood. The program is this evening, May 7, and begins at 7 p.m.
It will feature an exclusive question-and-answer session with California State Treasurer Fiona Ma, a comedy set from Leah Bonnema, and virtual appearances from Elizabeth Banks, David Crosby, Rhea Pearlman, Amy Brenneman, Jane Kaczmarek, Congressman Adam Schiff, Congresswoman Judy Chu, state Sen. Anthony Portantino, California State Assemblymember Chris Holden, and more.
PP Advocates President Sheri Bonner and Executive Director Julianne Hines will discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on access to reproductive health care and the work needed to protect reproductive rights.
“PP Advocates’ work with policy makers at the federal, state and local levels is more necessary than ever before, especially as governments respond to the pandemic and we all prepare for the most important national election in recent history,” Hines said.
Board Chair Dawn Fanning Moore welcomes supporters to the unique event: “We can’t stand near each other, but we can still stand together in support of sexual and reproductive health care. This event will bring together our community’s prominent activists, celebrities, philanthropists and political leaders in support of Planned Parenthood Advocates.”
Fanning Moore, event chair Jennifer Thibault and patron co-chairs Judy Brown and Mary Ulin have led the fundraising efforts for this event, now in its fifth year. Tickets are available at bit.ly/stand20.
