The Greater Los Angeles Area Council of Boy Scouts of America’s 21st annual Women of Eagle Scouts Brunch, “Wind Under Their Wings,” was held recently at the Altadena Town & Country Club. The council celebrated 100 years of the Boy Scouts’ activity in the San Gabriel Valley and of the Huntington Library. Huntington Botanical Gardens director James Folsom was the keynote speaker. Connie Knott and Evelyn Boss co-chaired the event; committee members included Avery Barth, Kathy Bayle, Ann Boutin, Janice Conzonire, Sallie Determan, Vicki Elliott, Mary Falkenbury, Lynn Hatashita-Jung, Ann Kunitake, Mona Mapel, Patricia Tom Mar, Leigh Olivar, Pam Osgood, Karen Quon, Helen Kim Spitzer, Valerie Gumbiner Weiss, Karen Wicke, Julie Wong Tam, Vivian Chan, Kathy Vine, Suko Gotoh, Patricia Libby Thvedt, Ellen Chiechi and Janet Orswell. It was advised by Diana Bates.
