Carver’s Elementary School Girl Scout troops have teamed up to participate in Feed Your Neighbor Service Month. After getting great feedback from girls in the Greater Los Angeles area to do a council-wide service project to fight hunger, the Feed Your Neighbor Service Month Patch Program was launched. The program encourages both community service and service learning. It is being conducted during a time of year when food bank pantries become depleted, and will help the local food banks fill the pantries when giving may not necessarily be on everyone’s mind.
