The Flintridge Prep varsity boys’ volleyball team rallied past local rival La Cañada, 16-25, 25-21, 14-25, 25-13, 15-11, in a nonleague match on Monday.

La Cañada High School freshman Caylee Kolb recently competed in the So-Cal State Championships at the Ontario Convention Center and
the local standout returned home with four medals, including a first-place finish to earn the title of state champion.
Kolb, 15, scored a 9.475 on bars to win the gold medal, and she also captured two bronze medals on the beam and floor events with scores of 9.225 and 9.475, respectively. The CIF Southern Section released its All-CIF winter selections last week, recognizing athletes from La Cañada High School and Flintridge Prep.

With only two seniors graduating from last year’s third-place squad, Monrovia entered this season as the La Cañada High School varsity softball team’s biggest challenge in the Rio Hondo League.

The La Cañada High School varsity baseball team edged visiting Glendale, 4-3, in a nonleague game last Friday.
