Nearly 220 fathers and daughters were recently transported to Paris without even leaving the area. Mayfield Junior School Girl Scout Troop 5491 hosted the San Marino Service Unit’s Father Daughter Dance, “An Evening in Paris,” at the Hill Harbison House. The rooms were adorned in white twinkly lights, an Eiffel Tower poster, outdoor bistro seating and French flag colors of red, white and blue. The duos sang karaoke, made fresh water pearl necklaces, posed for the photo booth, decorated frames for their picture, and learned some new hip-hop dance moves with Danny C from the Athletic Garage. Outside, they enjoyed French-inspired cuisine such as croissants, cheeses, sliced meats, baguettes, grapes and a sparkling rose lemonade.
