Local Woman to Be Honored by Anti-Defamation League

Martha Saucedo

Local resident Martha Saucedo will be among the honorees at the Anti-Defamation League’s annual Women of Achievement dinner, the Deborah Awards. The event will be held Thursday evening, March 30, at the SLS Hotel Beverly Hills.
“Each year, we pay tribute to outstanding women whose professional leadership and civic contributions exemplify the ideals of the Anti-Defamation League,” according to an event spokesperson. “The award is named after the prophetess Deborah, who is noted for her courage, wisdom and leadership.”
Saucedo, who is executive vice president of External Affairs for AEG, is responsible for leading the company’s external affairs team on all issues that relate to public and community affairs, charitable involvement, corporate communications and outreach programs.
Prior to joining AEG in 2001, she worked on behalf of Mattel, managing relationships with local, state and federal elected officials. She also has significant experience working in the public sector, including a stint on the staff of U.S. Congressman Xavier Becerra.
Saucedo serves as the chair of the board of the Central City Association and on the board of directors for Inner City Arts, Friends of the Expo Center, and California Hospital Medical Center Community Advisory Board. She is a former elected representative on the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council and was honored as a Mover and Shaker by the Central City Association of Los Angeles. Coro Southern California awarded her the Community Builder award at the 2012 Crystal Eagle Awards. She was also selected by the Sports Business Journal as a 40 Under 40 award recipient.
