Members of the National Charity League Juniors threw a “baby shower” at their recent meeting at Huntington Hospital to benefit the hospital’s Neonatal and Pediatric ICUs. Members gathered preemie outfits — onesies, socks and handmade caps — and supplies to be provided to families in need through the Parent Connection program at Huntington. Special guests, the Giron family, who recently used the Parent Connection, spoke to the group and expressed their gratitude for the support received from NCL Juniors. As their daughter was born prematurely at 24 weeks, they hadn’t had a baby shower yet. Through the support of the Juniors, Parent Connection is able to host baby showers for families in similar circumstances.
