Refurbished Auditorium Makes HMS Shine

Audience members inside Huntington Middle School’s Kenneth White Auditorium may notice something different while watching musical performances or attending assemblies this fall. Chairs that used to squeak at the slightest shift in weight are now silent. Walls that carry sound throughout the venue are quieter as well — at least in terms of their color scheme. The vision of Principal Jason Kurtenbach and the San Marino Unified School District PTA was finally realized when HMS unveiled its auditorium refurbishments during a ribbon-cutting ceremony inside the spruced-up space last month. San Marino Ends Monrovia’s Reign, 49-14

The large crowd at San Marino High School’s Titan Stadium was as electric as ever on Friday night, and for good reason. The varsity football team was set to square off with eight-time defending Rio Hondo League champion Monrovia, a team it had not beaten in 12 years. A Titanic Accomplishment: SMHS Breaks Through vs. Monrovia

Head coach Mike Hobbie and the San Marino High School varsity football team are accustomed to shattering records with an unstoppable offense, but the squad broke the greatest one yet on Friday.
