The Lake Avenue Community Foundation’s “Stars For Tomorrow” annual benefit will be held at the Rose Bowl on Thursday, Sept. 21, at 6 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the STARS after-school and mentoring programs.
The benefit will begin with a reception at the stadium’s Court of Champions, followed by dinner and live auction inside the UCLA home team locker room.
Live auction items include a Tournament of Roses New Year’s Day VIP package (including Rose Bowl game tickets, Rose Parade tickets, VIP passes to the Rose Bowl Tailgate Luncheon and VIP parking); tickets to an upcoming Coldplay concert (including dinner) at the Rose Bowl; superb Dodger Dugout Club tickets behind home plate; a six-course meal and wine pairing for eight people at a lovely Pasadena home; a one-week Hawaiian vacation in a gorgeous estate on the Big Island; and a one-week vacation to a beautiful beach resort in Cancun.
In addition to the auction, there will be an event opportunity drawing that includes orchestra seats to “Hamilton” and four Disney Park-Hopper tickets.
The event’s major patrons include the Cunningham family, Richard and Susan Gentilucci, Rich and Kim Chinen, Neal Family Foundation, Stone Tapert Employee Benefits, Lance Ito and Peggy York, Patti’s Way Charitable Foundation, John and Deanne Lewis, Lake Avenue Church, Larry and Gerri Edson, David and Mary Sue Scheidler, Because You Matter, Pasadena Tournament of Roses, Marah Lyvers, Rosiris Paniagua of Tru Finance, Outlook Newspapers, and Rich and Barbara Wilson of Volkswagen Pasadena.
“We are so excited to celebrate the STARS after-school and mentoring programs at our upcoming Stars for Tomorrow Benefit once again at the beautiful Rose Bowl,” said Lake Avenue Community Foundation Executive Director Nancy Stiles. “What a fitting place to honor the true stars of LACF — our students, families, volunteers and supporters. It will be a evening to remember!”
