Advocates for the Alzheimer’s Association will speak to the USC Trojan Affiliates on March 1, sharing a personal story of two former Pasadena-area residents who have experienced the ravaging effects of the disease.
Ray Wells, 57, was diagnosed with Young Onset Alzheimer’s at the age of 55. As a parent of two, ages 21 and 17, he had been a Realtor in the Greater Pasadena community for nearly 30 years. Much of his career was spent mentoring and training new recruits as a manager for Dilbeck Realtors and later, Teles Properties. He served as the 1997 president of the Pasadena-Foothills Association of Realtors, as an officer for the California Association of Realtors and as the long-time Master of Ceremonies and leader of the weekly “pitch” meetings, and as the annual Master of Ceremonies for the awards banquet at the Langham Hotel. He and his wife, May, a fellow Realtor, formed a dynamic and successful real estate team.
