Cancer Support Community to Host Poker Bowl on June 22

The eighth annual Poker Bowl Tournament will be held on Friday, June 22, at the Flying A Garage in support of Cancer Support Community Pasadena. More than 150 guests are expected to attend the event and will play Texas hold ’em, blackjack and craps surrounded by a private collection of antique and perfectly restored automobiles, owned by car collectors Valerie and Aaron Weiss. Poker Bowl Hits Jackpot for Cancer Support Community

The event was held at the at the Flying A Garage, a private collection of American classic automobiles. More than 180 guests — a new record for attendance — enjoyed socializing over burgers and tacos outdoors before heading inside for an evening of poker and blackjack, raising more than $53,000. Money raised will go toward CSC’s programs providing free support, education and hope to anyone facing cancer.

More than 150 guests are expected to attend the event and will play Texas Hold’em and Blackjack surrounded by a private collection of antique and perfectly restored automobiles, owned by car collectors Valerie and Aaron Weiss. Dinner will be provided by Son of a Bun and Tacos Chihuahua food trucks, and dessert will be provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes.
Prizes include Dodger tickets, UCLA/Stanford football game tickets and hotel accommodations, Disneyland Park Hopper passes, four Hollywood Bowl tickets and a $1,000 American Express gift card. They will be awarded to the last nine players at the final table. Raffles prizes are two Baume & Mercier watches donated by Mimi et Cie.
