Ticktockers Celebrate at Rose Gala

The Pasadena Area Chapter of National Charity League recently celebrated the 2017 Senior Ticktockers at the Rose Gala Presentation Ball at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel downtown. More than 330 guests shared in the formal presentation of 20 Ticktockers to friends and family in the Biltmore’s Crystal Ballroom. This NCL tradition, emceed by Jonathan Jaffrey, included an introduction of each girl’s mother and escort followed by a presentation of each young woman as she stepped through a floral-laden arch created by Drew Domenghini of Patterson’s Topiaries.
Each Ticktocker was given an NCL medallion from Mimi et Cie jewelers and then joined their fathers or escorts on the dance floor for the traditional father-daughter waltz. Music was provided by the Wayne Foster Orchestra, while Nick Boswell Photography captured the evening’s festivities. The event was chaired by patroness Kandis Jaffrey, along with a committee and support from Leslie Kevorkian and Lisa Dick.
The girls were recognized for their six years of NCL community service in the Pasadena area and their commitment to leadership.
“Our chapter is extremely proud of our presentees and inspired by their committed volunteer service of more than 16,000 hours in the Pasadena area over the past six years,” said NCL Pasadena President Nancy Hornberger. “Each are accomplished young ladies who have improved our community, developed strong leadership skills and broadened their awareness of diversity and culture. We know they will continue to make a difference and wish each of them much success and happiness in the future.”
