Friends and supporters of the Huntington Medical Research Institutes gathered recently for a day of golf and a festive dinner and live auction to raise funds and celebrate the groundbreaking of its new building and the biomedical research being conducted at HMRI in Pasadena. The proceeds from the event will go toward the capital campaign, which is funding a new state-of-the-art research facility currently under construction on Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena’s “biomedical corridor.” The tournament was chaired by Mireya Jones; committee members included Dave Davis, Frank Davis, Nic Fetter, Bob Fidler, Jack Hall, Sharon Morrissey, John Mothershead and Jim Ratkovich. The president of HMRI is Dr. Marie Csete.
