Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley recently held its annual fall benefit at the Langham Huntington Hotel. A tradition since the 1960s, the group’s fall benefit is the organization’s signature fundraiser and welcomes 400 of the region’s top philanthropists and community leaders each year.
The Fall Benefit raises essential funds to support Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley’s four health centers located in Pasadena, Eagle Rock, Alhambra and Glendora, serving more than 60,000 patients and providing 11,000 opportunities for relationship and sex education at local schools and colleges.
Co-chairs were board members Stephanie McLemore and Yvonne Zaro, and longtime volunteer and former board member Joan Caillouette served as honorary patron chair. The keynote speaker was Dr. Willie Parker, a reproductive justice advocate who was recently honored by the United Nations Office of Human Rights.
