Elizabeth House recently hosted its 15th annual Benefit Gala and Silent Auction, “Joie de Vivre,” at the Oakmont Country Club. About 300 guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, jazz, and silent and live auctions. Dr. Lisa Masterson (of “The Doctor Show”) was guest honoree. She is the founder of two nonprofits that set up clinics for healthy pregnancies and births in developing countries. She has also taught classes at Elizabeth House. Another guest was 19-year-old David Sera, who shared his story as one of the babies born at Elizabeth House. The goal of raising $140,000 was reached, which will support the Elizabeth House mission to provide shelter and family-focused support to homeless pregnant women and their children.
