Polytechnic School’s Panther Club recently hosted its annual all-day celebration in support of Poly athletics. Friday Night Lights, held last weekend, included morning cardio clinic and tennis tournaments at Caltech, a mid-day golf tournament at Alhambra Golf Course and an afternoon 3-on-3 student basketball tournament. The day concluded with an all-school parent party with a silent auction in the evening on Poly’s Babcock Field. It was a day of fun, fellowship, friendly competition — and Poly spirit.
Proceeds support school athletic and spirit program enhancements and facilities upgrades for student-athletes of all grade levels.
The day’s activities were coordinated by Panther Club co-presidents Denise Mathews and Kim D’Amico; Friday Night Lights event chair Meghan Stimmler; party planner Leslie Clayton; auction chairs Lyn Salembier and Eileen Williamson; basketball tournament chair Eileen Williamson; tennis tournament chair Lori McPherson; and golf tournament chairs Ken Froelich, Bill Jameson and Vicky Mulligan.
