Kidspace Children’s Museum recently celebrated the completion of its $13 million Campaign for the Future of Kidspace. Nearly 100 supporters gathered for cocktails and dinner in the Wisteria Courtyard, catered by Cynthia Brooks. Market lights provided a warm glow as guests dined amongst lavender decor and floral arrangements, provided by Jacob Maarse. Handcrafted kaleidoscope awards were presented to several key donors in recognition of their impactful contributions. CEO Michael Shanklin recognized the Popovich family for their dedication to the museum by unveiling the new sign for the museum entrance, which will read, “Kidspace Children’s Museum, Popovich Campus.”
This transformative capital campaign was launched by the board of directors in 2012, which has introduced new exhibits and programs, upgraded technology and infrastructure, and retired the $4 million construction debt dating back to 2004. The improvements have dramatically increased the number of families served each year.
