Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy recently held its annual Harry G. Johansing Scholarship Golf Tournament and Dinner at Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena. This annual event raises money for tuition assistance at FSHA. Before tee-off, players had the opportunity to qualify for a safari vacation putting contest. Games continued along the course where players had the opportunity to play games such as “Hole-in-One” and “Hit the Heart.”
After a relaxing and fun day of golf, players joined their family, friends and other FSHA community members for a cocktail hour and dinner. During cocktail hour, Jeff Farroni putted for the safari vacation and three Dominican Sisters also participated in the “Bet on the Sisters” putting competition with Sister Marie Therese Perez snagging the win.
At the dinner, Golf Committee chair and FSHA parent Jim Spina welcomed guests, and Kenny Lund kicked off the live auction and announced golf tournament winners. The event raised approximately $70,000 toward funding the Harry G. Johansing Scholarship fund established in 1974.
