Friends of the Pasadena Senior Center recently gathered at a private club to revel in the center’s ninth annual Zest gala, honoring Rosemary “Rary” Simmons. More than 200 people enjoyed cocktails and dinner while Dr. Drew Pinsky served as master of ceremonies.
Simmons has long served the community through her support of organizations such as the Huntington Hospital, the Pasadena Educational Foundation, San Marino schools, the Pasadena Playhouse, Occidental College and the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts. She also was the first woman mayor of San Marino.
All proceeds raised at Zest support the senior center’s efforts to provide social wellness programs and services for older adults.
