Devyn Netz is also nominated after leading Maranatha in nearly every category. The junior standout hit .494, scored 18 runs, had 28 RBIs and blasted five home runs. Netz was also the Minutemen’s ace and posted a 19-4 record with an earned run average of 0.75. She struck out 253 and walked only 16 in 140 innings of work.
Amanda Ramirez was also on the list after helping FSHA capture the Sunshine League title for the first time in more than three decades. She had an impressive .606 average, 32 RBIs, 15 doubles and five triples. She was just as good in the pitcher’s circle, posting a record of 14-5 with an ERA of 2.83 in 94 innings.
The Westridge softball team made history in the spring by playing in the CIF Southern Section Division 7 championship game, a first in the program’s history. Freshman ace Hailey Yoshida was instrumental to the team’s success with a 1.40 ERA and a 13-7 record. She also recorded 209 strikeouts in 124 2/3 innings of work, earning her a nomination for All-State.
