San Rafael Neighborhoods Association Welcomes New Board Members

The San Rafael Neighborhoods Association has welcomed three members to the SRNA Board of Directors – Mary Beth Bridges, George Falardeau and George Penner.
“We are extremely grateful to welcome our new board members,” said Robin Salzer, SRNA board president. “Each one of them provides our board with a unique background, skillset and perspective and we look forward to their expertise and guidance this year. Simply another example of neighbors helping neighbors.”
George Falardeau brings to the board a lifetime of media experience from his days as a vice president at NBC Burbank, senior VP of Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design and as the executive director and CEO of Pasadena Media, the organization that oversees four public television channels. He is a former board chair of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Southern California Gas Company Community Advisory Committee.
George Penner brings vast real estate expertise as the co-founder and chief executive officer of the real estate firm Deasy Penner Podley. He is also the founder of Penner Design Group, LLC, a real estate development and restoration company. Prior to real estate, Penner spent more than a decade working at numerous advertising agencies. His most recent post was as senior vice president of Deutsch Inc, a marketing communications agency that garnered Adweek’s “Agency of the Year” for three consecutive years.
Mary Beth Bridges is a Pasadena native and longtime neighbor with her family in the San Rafael area. She has worked and lived in the area since 1983. Bridges was employed at San Rafael Elementary School, where she worked in different capacities. She brings a comprehensive educational background of being a teacher, coach, mentor and language arts specialist to the SRNA board. Since retiring she enjoys her grandchildren, gardening and travel.
According to a spokesperson, the San Rafael Neighborhoods Association was founded in 2012 by local residents in Southwest Pasadena “who believed that the voices of their neighborhood needed to be heard strongly and clearly. The SRNA mission is to enhance and maintain the character, quality and safety of all San Rafael neighborhoods through advocacy, hard work and an activated community.”
