Polytechnic School graduated 93 seniors on Babcock Field on June 4. The ceremony included speeches from Head of School John Bracker, Upper School Director Jennifer Fleischer, and musical performances by several graduates. Graduating senior Anika Erickson wrote an original song for the occasion, which a group of seniors performed. Senior musicians played as their class processed and recessed.
In keeping with recent tradition, the ceremony also featured speeches from eight randomly selected seniors in lieu of a guest speaker. These speeches included meditations on what hometown means to them, memories of bonding through athletic events, and finding one’s identity amidst a new academic environment.
Poly’s students will be matriculating to colleges across the United States and internationally, with several students pursuing athletics and the arts with scholarships.
