After a two-year fundraising hiatus due to COVID, the Christ Child Society of Pasadena hosted a “Fun-Raising Summer Fiesta” on Saturday recently at the home of local residents Terry and Anthony Clougherty. As COVID restrictions in the state relaxed, members Kate Kenney, Deborah Lee, Jennifer Gowan and president Angel Throop organized the event, which included a silent auction and food donated by Los Tacos and Mijares.
Throop said she was excited at the opportunity to resume the organization’s mission to support the most underserved children and families in the community.
“We are thrilled to be together again and host a fun event, which will raise the much-needed funds to support the 18 parish schools in the San Gabriel Valley that we serve each year,” Throop said.
