7th Annual Climate Change Forum on March 24

The sky isn’t falling, but the sea is rising — possibly 6 feet or more by 2100. What the latest science tells us about this and what needs to be done to protect ourselves is the topic of the seventh annual Climate Change Forum. Sponsored by the League of Women Voters Pasadena Area, the forum is free and open to the public. It will be held Saturday, March 24, from 9:30 a.m.-noon at First United Methodist Church, 500 E. Colorado Blvd. Free parking off Green Street is available behind the church.
Two distinguished JPL scientists — Annmarie Eldering and Ian Fenty — will present recent findings on global warming science and discuss climate-change policy implications. Eldering is deputy project scientist for the Orbiting Carbon Observatory 2 (OCO-2) Earth satellite. Fenty, a climate scientist, studies polar-ice melting and sea-level rise.
