The board of Arlington Garden recently hosted its second annual Autumn in the Garden fundraiser, at which more than 130 guests enjoyed an evening of food, wine and music highlighted by a silent auction of garden-inspired art by local artists.
Board President George Brumder and Executive Director Michelle Matthews, along with event co-chairs Dan Wier and Nancy McIntyre, mingled with guests and shared how the vision and hard work of the late Charlie and Betty McKenney and a dedicated group of volunteers turned a barren, three-acre urban lot into a water-wise Mediterranean garden.
Arlington Garden is free to the public and is supported through grants, individual donors, private partnerships and limited funding from the city of Pasadena.
