More than 300 members of the St. Francis High School family came together at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena on Saturday to celebrate POSH (Preserving Our Scholastic Heritage). The hotel ballroom was transformed into a beautiful “Starry Knight” to celebrate the Capuchin Franciscan approach to education and the school’s rich heritage.
The event featured a silent auction, sit-down dinner, paddle raise for science classroom technology, engaging entertainment and successful live auction. Most important, the event brought the St. Francis community together to reflect on its many blessings and celebrate its wonderful heritage.
This year’s event was a success, exceeding fundraising goals and strengthening relationships. POSH is an initiative that aims to help make a Capuchin Franciscan education possible for deserving young men who might otherwise not have the opportunity to attend St. Francis High School. St. Francis is grateful to this year’s POSH co-chairs, Christa Durfee and Alicia Lund, as well as the many volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the event such a success.
