Pasadena City College Foundation Board President Bill Hawkins recently celebrated the holiday season at a festive gathering of donors, foundation board members and college trustees, saying that the college had a history-making year. PCC has been chosen by the Aspen Institute as one of 10 finalists nationwide for the Aspen Prize, awarded for community college excellence.
In addition, the PCC Foundation has again awarded more than 300 scholarships to deserving students in a variety of educational disciplines and has provided critical funding for equipment and programs at the college. The major gifts campaign led by Jack Scott and a committee of community leaders has exceeded its contributed income goal and continues to attract donors at every level.
Anthony Fellow, president of the PCC Board of Trustees, warmly welcomed the school’s incoming superintendent-president, Erika Endrijonas, at the holiday party. Endrijonas begins her role at PCC this month.
