The San Marino High School varsity boys’ basketball team kept its postseason hopes alive with a 74-35 victory over visiting Pasadena Blair in a Rio Hondo League game last Saturday.

“We just wanted to enjoy this group tonight,” said SMHS head coach Mihail Papadopulos. “They have worked so hard over the years, allowed us to coach them with passion and deserved to be celebrated. We now look toward our final week of the regular season and look forward to finishing strong.”

The Titans played a tough game against the Rams and were within two points of their rival, 40-38, in the fourth quarter. However, San Marin suffered a rough two-minute stretch, allowing Temple City to pull away for the victory.
Deng led San Marino with 21 points and O’Brien netted 10 points. Ethan Mo had five opints, and Mata and Baldocchi contributed three points each.
San Marino hosted La Cañada in a league game on Tuesday and will close out the regular season on the road against Monrovia tonight at 7.
