The Mayfield Junior School community hit the greens recently in support of MJS Golf Classic for Endowment. With a “Caddyshack” theme, golfers arrived in bright golf pants, argyle socks and camouflage bucket hats. Each year multiple generations of MJS families, current parents, new families, alumni and friends, participate in the tournament held at Angeles National Golf Club. Following the tournament, golfers and guests gathered for dinner, a comedy show featuring comedians from the Ice House and a raffle. A short film highlighting Mayfield’s program set the stage for a paddle-raise in support of the school’s endowment. From the shuffle start to the final presentation of trophies (designed and created by Mayfield 5th-graders), it was a wonderful day of fellowship, friendly competition and good fun.
