The So Cal Women’s Health Conference and Expo brought together more than 2,000 women recently at the Pasadena Hilton for a full-day event designed to empower women to make better health decisions and develop a lifestyle that includes healthy choices.
“The goal of the conference is to promote the health of individuals and our community,” said Lena Kennedy, the event’s founder and organizer. “We seek to inform, uplift, celebrate and support each other in our individual and collective journeys to health, wellness and living our best lives.”
This year’s conference chairwomen were Jihee Huh, vice chairwoman of PAFCO, and Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger.
Renowned physicians and healthcare professionals conducted more than 25 workshops during the conference, and more than 70 exhibitor booths offered services, such as free health screenings, flu vaccinations, makeovers, and demonstrations by beauty, health and fitness companies.
There was also a “Man Cave” which was created to provide an environment for men to learn and discuss their health issues.
Breakfast speakers were Congresswoman Judy Chu, Linda Clemons and Jodie Walker. Luncheon speakers were Phuong Ly Gallagher and Supervisor Barger. Stephanie Spruill was the featured entertainer.
