Friends of Foster Children Hosts Fundraiser

Friends of Foster Children will host its fundraising luncheon on Saturday, March 25, at the Monrovia Community Center. The luncheon is open to members of the community.
To continue its 40th anniversary celebration, the luncheon will transport guests back to 1976 when Friends of Foster Children began. Tickets are $38 per person. There will be themed entertainment, raffle prizes, and information about FOFC and its programs.
“The luncheon is a great opportunity for us to connect with our community and let them know about the great work our organization does for foster youth throughout the year,” said committee chair Kim Ferreira.
Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the community through a variety of projects that Friends of Foster Children works on each year. Projects include a school supply drive, a successful college scholarship program and FOFC’s largest project, the Sugar Plum Tree. The Sugar Plum Tree grants Christmas wishes to more than 400 foster children each year, thanks to gift donations from members of the community.
The Monrovia Community Center is located at 119 W. Palm Ave. To purchase tickets to the luncheon and learn more about Friends of Foster Children, visit fofcsangabrielvalley.com.
