Monte Vista Grove Homes recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a Memory Care Residence and Wellness Center, which will serve as an added benefit for the San Gabriel Valley community. The Memory Care Residence will provide a much needed specialized level of care that best serves ambulatory seniors with dementia. The Wellness Center will provide a dedicated space for fitness activities as well as physical, occupational and massage therapies.
Executive Director Deborah Herbert announced that the campaign’s $4.5 million fundraising goal has been achieved. The celebration was attended by supporters, friends, residents of the MVGH and Mayor Terry Tornek and Vice Mayor Gene Masuda. Due to the weather, the well-attended event was held inside with standing room only.
The Memory Care Residence will be open to the public and will include 10 private bedrooms. The center is set to open in January 2018.
