La Cañada Elementary School hosted its annual art week, with art activities being held during the lunch hour. The event was kicked off by La Cañada High School art students, some of them even LCE alumni, coming on campus and facilitating scratch art. They prepared various photos mounted on black paper and as the LCE artists did the scratch art, a gold color came through and highlighted their designs. Parent Julie Bae facilitated the making of dream catchers, Brooke Niemiec had students make tie-dye bookmarkers and Dorothy Chen guided them in making backpack charms. Heishin Ra was chairperson for art week.
