Pacific Oaks College & Children’s School has announced the appointment of Robert Boyman as executive director of Pacific Oaks Children’s School. Boyman had previously served as the school’s interim director for the past 10 months.
“Bob’s passion for early childhood education is apparent immediately upon meeting him,” said Patricia Breen, president of Pacific Oaks College & Children’s School. “The school has a bright future under his direction.”
The newly minted executive director has strengthened the Children’s School commitment to emergent and anti-bias education since taking on a leadership role last year. Under Boyman’s direction, the school increased community connections with local preschools and early childhood educators in order to expand access and opportunities for parent and teacher education. In keeping with the school’s play-based model of learning, the children’s school is now designated as a demonstration site for the Outdoor Classroom Project, an organization dedicated to increasing the quality, quantity, and benefit of outdoor experiences in early care and education programs.
“We are proud to continue the important legacy of this historic institution under Bob Boyman’s leadership. He is deeply committed to the PO community and to the continuous development of children, parents, families and the School,” said Melanie Sauer, chief operating officer for PO.
