PinotFaire, Pasadena’s premiere wine festival, will kick off its ninth year at the Altadena Country Club on Sunday, Sept. 24. This year, a portion of ticket proceeds will benefit Pasadena-based nonprofit AbilityFirst, a 91-year-old organization serving children and adults with disabilities and with a new addition of a Best of the Best Wine Tasting Competition, featuring a blind taste test in which participants choose their top three favorite wines.
The Grand Pinot Tasting brings more than 120 wines from California and Oregon and culinary delights from local market and meat purveyors, Howie’s and Alexander’s Prime Meats. Top-rated participating wineries include Brewer-Clifton, Mail Road, Paul Hobbs, Sojourn, Kistler and Walt (by Kathryn Hall.) Tickets and more information can be found at pinotfaire.com.
