LCF Burglary Suspect Turns Himself In

A Los Angeles man in his early 20s was arrested for his role in a residential burglary after he walked into the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station on Saturday, Jan. 6, Sgt. Alan Chu said.
According to Chu, the man was the driver of a car involved with a burglary that occurred Nov. 28 in the 4900 block of Alta Canyada Road.
“Two males went into the location, one sat in the car and a neighbor took a picture of the car sitting in the driveway, so we followed up on that lead,” Chu said.
That follow-up led them to the car’s owner, a member of the man’s family, who encouraged the suspect to give himself up — or at least go to the station.
“He walked in Saturday and said, ‘I heard you wanted to talk to me,’” said Chu, who indicated the man was arrested on burglary charges. “He admitted to being in the car.”
“It was,” Chu added, “a lot of the family cooperation in pressuring him to give himself up.”
Chu said detectives hope to use the arrest to further the investigation.
