Despite the wet weather, a huge group of moms, along with some dads and special friends, turned out for Mothers Visiting Day at Clairbourn School. Everyone got warm and cozy in the classrooms, and teachers were creative with indoor projects such as math scavenger hunts, engineering design projects, poetry recitations, and yoga for P.E. in the gymnasium. Retiring Headmaster Robert Nafie was also on hand to serenade the moms and students with a special last song he wrote and performed for the occasion.
The parents also enjoyed a royal feast of quiche, hot coffee, fresh fruit, and pastries while visiting with other parents in a lounge area set up just for them. The students were beaming with pride as they included their guests in their classroom activities and learning adventures.
