More than 350 guests recently came out to celebrate Armory Center for the Arts Executive Director Scott Ward’s 17 years of service, in recognition of his upcoming June retirement. The gala was held at the Armory’s Old Town Pasadena facility, festively adorned by enormous inflatable sculptures by Bay Area artist Bill Kennedy, and raised more than $200,000 to support the Armory’s ongoing mission to provide cutting-edge contemporary arts exhibitions and community-based arts education programs for thousands of constituents across Los Angeles County. Guests enjoyed hands-on art making activities, craft cocktails and a “strolling supper” curated by Armory board member and gala chairperson Gale Kohl, owner of Gale’s Restaurant in Pasadena.
