Members of the Walden School community gathered Saturday night at the Pasadena Masonic Temple for the annual school fundraising auction and gala.
Themed “The Wonder of Walden,” the event celebrated the role Walden School plays in nurturing children’s sense of wonder, curiosity and imagination.
All proceeds benefit Walden’s innovative, child-centered programs, with technology and math program updates being a priority this year. In addition to the auction and a catered meal, the event also featured performances by musical duo Haleigh Bowers and Romellus Wilson, a specialty-Scotch tasting by Rick Edwards and a dance party featuring DJ Faust. This year’s honoree was former Admissions Director Christena Barnes, whose dedication to Walden has spanned 30 years. The event was coordinated by Walden Parent Guild co-chairs Daria Yudacufski and Adam Rosen.
