The Mayfield Junior School community celebrated 61 members of the class of 2018. The traditional ceremony featured awards, a choral presentation and several speakers, including Headmaster Joseph Gill, student body president Mary-Katherine Seley, alumna Katherine Clancy, and graduation speaker and Mayfield parent Teresa Dilbeck.
Headmaster Gill shared with the class, “When you create a loving world, you will then live in a loving world. You have that kind of power through your love. You might say, but I am only one person, or you can say, I’m the person who is going to make a difference in our world.”
Following the ceremony, graduates and their families gathered for the school’s annual graduation party. The class of 2018 will be attending the following secondary schools: Loyola High School, Mayfield Senior School, Harvard-Westlake School, St. Francis High School, Polytechnic School, Flintridge Preparatory School, La Salle High School, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, Maranatha High School, Bishop Amat Memorial High School, Sequoyah School and Notre Dame High School.
